"Community Events & Promotions Team"

Do you possess excellent interpersonal skills?

Are you confident?

Do you enjoy meeting people?

If so, Age Concern Northamptonshire would like to hear from you! We are forming a small team of volunteers to engage with members of the public on the services we deliver to older people. The role will involve attending Community Events where Age Concern displays a stand, talking to a group of 6th Formers about our work or engaging with Lunch Club/Women's Institute/etc attendees.

Volunteers will have not only have received full training on our services, but they will be gently introduced to the role by accompanying members of staff to such events until they are confident to work alongside other volunteers.

In return, you will be able to engage with many people from various backgrounds and groups and gain a greater understanding of the support networks that exist, you will travel around the County with all expenses reimbursed and will become a valued and recognised member of the team at Head Office.

We would welcome interest from any age group but look for a sense of commitment and genuine interest in promoting the work of the charity as well as the ability to communicate effectively with members of the public.
